William Rottman is a Canadian born singer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. His sound is unique in that it has the youthful fascination of singers such as John Mayer, Adam Levine, Pat Monahan, but embraces a strong maturity found in contemporary rock. His vocal flexibility is only equaled to his musical flexibility. Personally, I have been mostly exposed to Williams fingering of his acoustic guitar. Much like a well-practiced lover soothes his love, so it is that William soothes the listener as he awakens the passion of both his instrument and his listener.
William was exposed to music at a very young age. He was a child prodigy and was featured in a local Canadian newspaper playing drums proficiently at the 7. At the age of 12 he began teaching himself the guitar and bass
His resume boasts a long history as guitarists and vocalist. William appeared on the “CBS Late, Late Show” and the NBC hit TV drama series “Las Vegas,” amongst others. He has been the voice of Coke, Pantene, Verizon and Campbell’s Soup and has sung alongside Lenny Kravitz. Most recently William toured the US with Australian platinum recording artist, Shannon Noll (Sony BMG).
I became friends with William after signing at an open mic., in Cold Spring, New York, where William performed. I was hooked and at that time became a great fan of William. In September of 2008, William was gracious enough to Join Steve Champagne and I for a concert to raise awareness about breast cancer. We look forward to William making a return visit to the Midwest. This time it will be in my home town of Kankakee, to again raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
Welcome to the Diner William. We wish you all the best!
