Someone recently told me that in addition to being the 'soulful voice of blues' I can rightly be called 'Queen of the Heartfelt Song' and certainly I have lots of life experiences which pour themselves into my songs and emerge as melodies which seem to reach people. Often, these are songs of love that went wrong, or at least that did not work out as it should have done. But there is the sublime side of love, the happy and fulfilling kind of love, that magic that can and does happen between two people for no apparent reason, and often defying all logic.
